Learn To Swim Program

Learning to swim is a critical life skill. It is important for children of all ages to develop basic swimming skills and learn water safety.

Our goal for swim lessons is to teach water safety to our community and prepare your child(ren) to eventually join the swim team. To graduate from our swim lessons program and move onto the swim team, swimmers must be able to swim 25 meters (one length of the pool) in both freestyle and backstroke, as well as jump into the pool unassisted. We will let you know in person when your child(ren) are ready for the swim team.

We offer 8, 45-minute swim lessons per lesson set. We do our best to maintain a maximum 3:1 swimmer to instructor ratio. Some swimmers are ready for the swim team after just one lesson set, while others may need multiple sessions. Every child progresses at their own pace. If you have any questions about your child's progress, please don't hesitate to ask their lesson instructor.

Many of our lesson instructors are senior members of our swim team who have spent years developing their own swimming skills and are passionate about helping younger swimmers gain confidence in the water. They work alongside our coaching staff and receive hands-on training directly from Coach Cos and Coach Mike, who combine for more than 60 years of experience teaching swim lessons and water safety. Safety is always our top priority. Multiple lifeguard-certified coaches are on deck during every lesson, and the majority of our lesson instructors are lifeguard certified as well.
