Learn To Swim Program
Learning to swim is an essential life skill. Every child should have the opportunity to develop basic swimming abilities and learn the water safety skills that can help keep them safe around the water.
Our swim lesson program is designed to teach water safety while building the skills and confidence needed to transition to the swim team. To graduate from our swim lessons program, swimmers should be able to:
- Swim 25 meters (one length of the pool) using freestyle.
- Swim 25 meters (one length of the pool) using backstroke.
- Jump into the pool independently and safely.
Our instructors will let you know when your child is ready to move from swim lessons to the swim team.
Each lesson session includes eight 45-minute classes. We strive to maintain a maximum 3:1 swimmer-to-instructor ratio to provide individualized instruction and ensure each swimmer receives the attention they need. Every child learns at their own pace, so while some swimmers may be ready for the swim team after one set of swim lessons, others may benefit from additional sets. We encourage you to speak with your child's instructor at any time if you have questions about their progress.
Your swimmer's safety is our highest priority. Multiple lifeguard-certified coaches are always on deck during lessons and most of our lesson instructors are lifeguard certified as well. Every instructor is trained directly by Coach Cos and Coach Mike, who bring a combined 60+ years of experience teaching swim lessons and water safety.
